Did Ya Hear About Our John?
Yes, I know, things have been very serious here at The Wild Reed of late.
So . . . it’s time to lighten things up a bit! And who better to do that than British comedienne, Catherine Tate?
The following video segment is comprised of four short skits featuring Catherine as the Irish Catholic mother of “John,” a young lad who has just come out as a “gay man.” The responses of John’s mum and friends are hilarious, and highlight the absurdity of any number of stereotypes assigned to gay people.
Oh, yeah, and I wonder if the accepting response of John’s mother and friends amounts to “cooperation in grave evil,” as recently outlined by Archbishop John Nienstedt? (O-oh. There I go getting serious again!)
