Marianne Williamson in New Hampshire

Author and 2024 Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson is currently in New Hampshire introducing herself and her platform to voters as she prepares to participate in the state’s 2024 Democratic presidential primary, tentatively set for February 6, 2024.

The New Hampshire presidential primary is the first in a series of nationwide party primary elections and the second party contest (the first being the Iowa caucuses) held in the United States every four years as part of the process of choosing the delegates to the Democratic and Republican national conventions which choose the party nominees for the presidential elections to be held the subsequent November.

Hosted by WMUR News 9, “Conversation with the Candidate” is a town hall-style program intended to allow the candidate to convey their points of view on a wide range of topics.

Marianne Williamson is challenging a same-party, incumbent president in his re-election bid, but as she explains below to Adam Sexton during the interview portion of her “Conversation with the Candidate” installment, she believes she’s the right choice for voters in what would be an historic upset.

As a supporter of, and regular financial contributor to Marianne Williamson’s 2024 presidential campaign, I receive regular updates from her campaign headquarters. Following is the text of the e-mail I received earlier today.

Dear Michael,

Marianne has been on the ground in New Hampshire all week, and the energy is building everywhere she goes.

We’ve packed events in Concord, Manchester, Laconia, and Portsmouth, marched in Independence Day parades with enthusiastic crowds, and held multiple house parties and countless interviews.

And we’ve made a lot of new friends along the way. This week we are proud to share that three state and local elected officials in New Hampshire and Rhode Island have announced their endorsements of Marianne Williamson for President!

• Democratic State Representative Robin Vogt of New Hampshire

• Democratic State Senator Cynthia Mendes of Rhode Island

• Former City Councilor Alex Kithes of Woonsocket, Rhode Island

Following is what Rep. Vogt and Former Concilor Kithes had to say about their decision to endorse Marianne.

I am very excited to announce my endorsement of Candidate Marianne Williamson in the upcoming 2024 Democratic Presidential Primary. Across the years, progressive legislators and activists have linked arms around issues that affect us every single day. This includes a fair wage, the rights to unionize our workplaces, universal health care, and protecting our LGBTQ+ community.

Marianne has stepped into the ring and has separated herself from President Joe Biden and other candidates by welcoming everyone to the table; bringing those from all communities and political perspectives into the conversation around how we fix these systemic issues.

Rep. Robin Vogt

I’m so happy to give my endorsement to Marianne Williamson for President! She’s the only one willing to speak out and stand up to fix the serious problems we’re facing. Between the climate crisis, the housing and economic crisis, the crisis of racial injustice, and the rise of fascism, everything is at stake. And there’s absolutely no time to waste. Marianne gives me hope for a vibrant, decent, livable future.

Former City Councilor, Alex Kithes

7/6/23 UPDATE: Earlier today the Marianne 2024 campaign sent out the following message from Marianne to her supporters.

Dear Michael,

I just finished a five day tour of New Hampshire. It was packed, intense, exhilarating, and successful. In addition, I hopped over to Boston for a public talk in Brookline.

From several house parties to public talks to a 4th of July parade to an event with the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire, I had a chance to place before voters all around the Granite State my vision for a season of repair.

New Hampshire is a microcosm of many of the challenges we face as a nation, and everywhere I spoke I felt voters understood my message. In the words of President Franklin Roosevelt, “We will not have to worry about a fascist takeover in America as long as democracy delivers on its promises.” We are not delivering on those promises now, and that is why we are in peril.

Under a Williamson Administration, we will have a new economic beginning in America, as well as a just transition from a dirty economy to a clean economy and from a war economy to a peace economy.

This is a message that resonates with the voters who hear it, because it aligns with what so many of us know to be true in our hearts.

My “Conversation with the Candidate” on New Hampshire’s WMUR got very favorable reviews, and one of our social media clips from it has already gotten over 1.3 million views. We are very much looking forward to the next New Hampshire poll, and will give you those results as soon as they’re in.

Now I’m off to Detroit and Chicago, then Los Angeles, Atlanta and South Carolina. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting our efforts to spread inspiration for a better tomorrow.

On the ground, I promise you . . . it’s working!

With love,
