There is no socialism that’s possible inside a fundamentally capitalist party [like the Democratic Party] and there’s no revolutionaty potential in the current iteration of Zohran Mamdani’s engagement [with such a party].
From my standpoint . . . it’s absolutely crucial to take an adverserial relationship with actual fascism. If you believe that Trump is an existential threat then, for me, it’s not good optics to be standing there [as Mamdani did] creating smiling photo-ops [with Trump], and I think that people are not taking seriously the moment that we are in.
