Even on a purely strategic level, this Team Blue / Kamala “I told ya so” smugness tour is almost too dumb for words. Like, who is it meant to appeal to?
The people who refused to support you because of your Zionism don’t care. In fact they probably had a grimmer assessment of Trump than you did.
The people who clap and snap their fingers at this clownery? Well, they still love you but obviously there aren’t enough of them to win because you wouldn’t be running this pathetic shtick at [Jesse Jackson’s] funeral if there were.
So who is left to appeal to? Trump supporters? Wagging your finger in their face is supposed to help your campaign bid how?
In other words, this isn’t even “immoral and insufferable but strategically sound.” It’s just sheer narcissism and hubris from a failed politician who will go to her grave thinking everybody is dumb and wrong except her.
After this Trump shitshow, I daresay I hope we’re done putting that type of mentality in any position of power ever again.
