As was forecast, a light snowfall dusted the Twin Cities overnight. According to meteorologist Meghan Evans, it was part of a wider “taste of winter” experienced from the Rocky Mountains to the Upper Midwest.
As harsh cold continues to expand from the northern Rockies into the Plains and the Upper Midwest, snow will continue falling at the leading edge.
Snow showers and a wintry mix, making it feel more like late November over portions of the Upper Midwest, including the Arrowhead of Minnesota, parts of Wisconsin and Iowa, will mostly die down by the afternoon.
Meanwhile, a widespread 1 to 3 inches of snow will fall from the northern Rockies to the central Plains today into tonight.
A heavier zone of snow will fall over southeastern Wyoming, northeastern Colorado and southwestern Nebraska, with 3 to 6 inches expected in this zone. Expect wintry driving conditions in these areas along with flight delays and cancellations.

I'm not ready for this yet Michael. We still have most of our leaves but they are turning early this year here I think. Stay warm, my friend.
