Minnesota for Marianne Williamson 2024 held its inaugural bannering earlier this evening over Interstate-94 in Saint Paul. And, yes, it was bitterly cold out! . . . But it sure felt good getting the word out about Marianne’s presidential campaign.
And, no, neither she or Dean Phillips are “taking votes from Biden and helping Trump win.” They’re running against Biden in a Democratic primary, not a general election. There are no “spoilers” in a primary. I’m shocked at how many people don’t know this.
Here’s how Ben Adams, Minnesota for Marianne 2024 Volunteer Organizer, described this evening’s bannering in a communication to Marianne’s e-mail list .
Hardy Minnesotans Brave the Elements
for Marianne at Historic Minnesota Protest Site
Who, may you ask, are these Minnesotans braving sub-zero temperatures to support Marianne’s Presidential campaign? Mr. Freeze’s henchpeople from the next Batman movie perhaps?
No, they’re regular Minnesotans just like you ... regular Minnesotans inspired by the heart, humanity, and vision of people-powered Minnesota progressives like Paul Wellstone. They’re the kind of Minnesotans who saw injustice when George Floyd was murdered by the Minneapolis police and peacefully protested in large numbers near the Dale Street bridge in Saint Paul.
Here at the Minnesota for Marianne Williamson campaign, we have decided to feed off the positive, residual energy of past protests at this historic site and have regular Marianne vigils at this location. Our first vigil displaying our beautiful, newly-made Marianne banner to Twin Cities traffic was on January 19th. There were only three of us, but we hope to grow the size of these vigils in the weeks to come leading up to Minnesota’s Presidential Primary on March 5.
We need your help. Please e-mail minnesota@marianne2024.com if you’re interested in joining these Minnesota for Marianne vigils. We will announce a regular date and time shortly, but we need to build a list of likely attendees.
Also, don’t forget to join our Facebook group.

My friend Kate and I leave for New Hampshire in two days time to help with Marianne’s campaign in the lead-up to that state’s “First in the Nation” presidential primary election. I’m very much looking forward to “electioneering” in the Granite State for Marianne.
President Biden, it should be noted, won’t be campaigning in New Hampshire as he isn’t on the ballot there for reasons discussed here. A write-in campaign, however, has been launched by pro-Biden Democrats.
Once back from New Hampshire, I’ll be working with Minnesota for Marianne to make our bannering a weekly event leading up to Minnesota’s own primary on March 5’s Super Tuesday.
Following is an interview that Marianne gave to WMUR-TV’s Adam Sexton three weeks ago. In this interview Marianne shares her perspective on a range of issues, including President Biden’s sinking poll numbers; Dean Phillip’s “move to the left;” the war between Israel and Hamas, including “accusations of genocide” against the Israeli government; the U.S. economy; reproductive rights; and the crisis at the southern border.
