New Year's Eve at Telegraph Point

My brother is the drummer in the band
Bone Idle, and tonight he and his band mates are playing at the River View Tavern at Telegraph Point, north of Port Macquarie.

Above: A New Year’s Eve possum!

It’s just past midnight here in Port Macquarie, and in about an hour-and-a-half I’ll be catching a Greyhound bus to Brisbane, where I’ll spend five days visiting friends.

Happy New Year to you all!

Happy New Years Day, Michael. Always one of the world's first -- but somehow NZ always beats you guys to the punch!

Happy New Year, Michael. One of my friends from Sydney sent me a clip of the fireworks there. They were spectacular. It must be so nice for the people there to have New Years in the summer. More snow for us today.

Peace to you in 2010.

Hope you are enjoying your trip Down Under, Michael. I thought of you when I checked out the temps in Minnesota, currently 3 degrees in St. Paul, the low was -16 yesterday. Right now it is -20 in International Falls, it was -35 yesterday. Aren't you glad that it is summer (in Oz)? Warmest greetings from a chilly US.

Happy New Year, everyone! And, yes, Mark, I'm glad to be here in Australia enjoying the great weather and the company of family and friends!

Peace,
