Kiki and Carmelo – Under the Night Sky

Something very special this evening for “music night” at The Wild Reed. . . . It’s “Under the Night Sky,” a 2007 concert featuring English singer Kiki Dee and her long-time musical collaborator, guitar virtuoso Carmelo Luggeri.

The “classy duo”’s near two-hour set includes reworked versions of Kiki’s classic 1970’s hits “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” “Amoureuse,” and “I’ve Got the Music in Me,” as well as acoustic covers of Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” and Tom Petty’s “Learning to Fly.”

Recorded at the historic Bray Film Studios, the performance also features Claire Finnimore on viola and Annabel Lamb on backing vocals. . . Enjoy!
