This is both heartbreaking and inspiring. . . . Fans of the Star Wars show Andor will recognize the following words of Nemik, one of the show’s many memorable characters from season one. Nemik’s manifesto is a short but powerful reminder of both the unnaturalness of authoritarianism and the power that each one of us has to challenge and defeat it.
By pairing Nemik’s manifesto with images of the uprising here in Minnesota over ICE’s killing of Renée Nicole Good and subsequent occupation of the state, we are powerfully reminded of just how much we need to hear these truths.
