Something to Think About . . .

The difference in the quality of the seeds
we sow into our children
could not be more evident
than in these two images.

What is born violently can only last violently (nihil violentum durabile). People who know they are loved and who find in love the reason for their happiness do not need to attack anyone to feel dignified and secure. Violence is, at the bottom, a sign of emptiness and weakness, the illusion that makes us believe that the abuse of power can replace the gift of love. We must choose to sow, today, more love.

I lost hope today. This is so outrageous. Look at all the people who went to jail or prison for nonviolent civil disobedience. Focus for a minute on all the youth, primarily black, in jail or prison for marijuana. Yet this white kid, Kyle Rittenhouse, is a killer and gets to go home.
